Senior Pastors
Pastor Greg and Debbie Carr have been ministering together to people since June 14th, 1986. They have served as camp directors in Clear Lake, IA, youth pastors in Ottumwa, IA and West Des Moines, IA and senior pastors at the Winfield Open Bible Church in Winfield, IA for 12 years. Pastor Greg is a graduate of Eugene Bible College, has been a licensed minister since 1990 and was ordained in 1999. Debbie is a graduate of Open Bible College.
The Carr’s have three daughters, Megan and her husband Joseph, Chantelle, and Danielle who all love the Lord and serve Him faithfully. As a family, they enjoy spending time together, traveling, doing outdoor activities, camping, fishing, and watching the Packers play football. In May of 2009 Greg and Debbie began a new phase in their lives when they became the senior pastors of Prairie Family Church. They quickly fell in love with North Dakota and the people here. They are dedicated to bringing Christ to the people of Bismarck.
Music Ministry Team Leader – Robert GreyEagle was raised on the Sisseton Wahpeton Dakota Nation reservation in South Dakota, and moved to North Dakota around 1984. He has lived in North Dakota ever since. He enjoys playing guitar, drums and native flute. His passion is to sing to the Lord, a perfect match for worship ministry. His motto is, “God is our audience,” and that is reflected in the worship here at PFC. Since October of 2002, Bob has served as a Supervisory Transportation Security Officer for the Transportation Security Administration here in Bismarck.
He is married to Tanya, and they have two sons Levi and Skylar. The Grey Eagles have been a faithful part of PFC since December of 2000. Bob has completed Level One ministry training in the Institute of Theology by Extension (INSTE) of Open Bible Churches.
Children’s Ministry Team Leaders – Jay & Tamara Steckler are natives of North Dakota and have attended PFC since 2005. Jay has served on the Board of Trustees and Tamara helps in many areas as well. Feeling the stirring of God upon their hearts, the Steckler‟s have taken the reigns of our children‟s ministry with a desire to see all children grow closer to God. They believe that no child should be left behind when it comes to discipleship and a commitment to God through Jesus. Jay and Tamara have the same philosophy in raising their two children, Kyle and Alyssa. Both Jay and Tamara have completed INSTE Level One.
Nursery Team Leader – Roxanne Klein and her family have been attending Prairie Family Church since 1998. Roxanne has been a big help in many areas in the church such as greeting, children‟s church and nursery. She is a good fit for directing our nursery as little children simply adore her and she adores them. Roxanne is married to John, who serves on the worship team. Together they are the parents of three wonderful daughters, Elizabeth, Mikaela, and Joie.
Youth Ministry Team Leaders – Pastor Joseph and Megan Leach began their life together in August of 2009 and soon after moved to Bismarck from Eugene, Oregon. Joseph was raised in central California and is a graduate of Eugene Bible College. Joseph has worked with Jr. High Students since 2005. Megan was raised in Iowa and attended Eugene Bible College. One day Megan hopes to teach music at an elementary school.
Together, Joseph and Megan desire to bring teens to a strong relationship with God through discipleship, worship, fellowship, and fun.
Women’s Ministry Team Leader – Debbie Carr is the wife of Pastor Greg Carr. She was born in Jefferson, Iowa and has 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Debbie gave her heart to Jesus at a young age and has served him faithfully her whole life. She graduated from Open Bible College in 1985 with a degree in Christian Education. Debbie has a deep desire to see the women of PFC exhibit the traits of a Proverbs 31 woman. These are the same traits that Debbie has in her life and the same traits she has taught her three daughters.
Hospitality Ministry Team Leaders – Tanya GreyEagle has been a part of PFC since December of 2000. Tanya was born in Bismarck, ND. and is a graduate of BHS. She is employed by the state of North Dakota and is the wife of Robert and mother of two young men, Skylar and Levi. Tanya is an excellent cook and loves to prepare all sorts of goodies for her family. Tanya also has a unique way of making people feel welcome into her home. All of these things and more make Tanya a good fit to lead our hospitality team with Robert.
Administrator – Melinda Stevahn brings a wealth of talent and ability to help guide the administrative side of Prairie Family. A University of North Dakota graduate with an A.A. in Business Management and minor in Records Management the former 10-year owner of a property management company and 5-year office manager for KAT Communications in Bismarck, Currently Melinda assists her husband, Terry, a real estate broker with Century 21- Morrison Realty and is co-owner of a business in the area. They are the proud parents of Haley and Amber and have been members of Prairie Family Church since 1998.
P.F.C. is blessed to have these people as Team Leaders. They are men and women of integrity who love the Lord their God with all their heart, soul, and mind. Their desire is to bring the people who walk through the doors of PFC closer to God and to strengthen each family.
